Teater Tre is a Swedish theatre company founded in 1979, dedicated to creating high-quality performing arts for children and young audiences. Rooted in mime and movement-based practice, it combines visual storytelling, music, and physical expression into a universal stage language with minimal spoken text. This allows its performances to travel easily across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
Based in Stockholm, Teater Tre runs two permanent stages and produces one to three new productions each year, engaging around fifty collaborators. The company tours locally, nationally, and internationally, reaching diverse audiences regardless of social or cultural background.
Encountering Teater Tre means meeting a tender and slightly quirky and playful theatre. Over more than four decades, it has created nearly 80 productions and six festivals dedicated to mime and movement-based performing arts. Through its work, Teater Tre aims to spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and strengthen the presence of Swedish theatre for young audiences worldwide.

Susanna Humlesjö
Executive Director
Susanna is the Executive Director of Teater Tre, with responsibilities covering the entire organisation. She started at Teater Tre as a producer in 2013, and since 2022, she has been the Executive Manager. Over the years at Teater Tre, Susanna has been involved in the making of more than 20 productions for young audiences. She has also been a part of previous EU projects and international collaborations. Susanna has worked in the cultural sector throughout her professional career, primarily as a producer, coordinator, and in leadership roles. Furthermore, she was part of the team developing Lava – a library and creative hub for young people from 1996 to 2012 at Kulturhuset Lava, Stockholm.
Anne Jonsson
Artistic Director
Anne Jonsson is trained in mime and works as a director and choreographer.
Since 2022, Anne has been the Artistic Director of Teater Tre. She studied at the Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique in London, England from 2002 to 2006.
Anne holds a Master’s degree in directing and dramaturgy for movement-based performing arts from Stockholm university of arts (SKH), and has trained in Viewpoints and Suzuki with Anne Bogart and the SITI Company. Anne is part of the international mentorship program Nordic Ambition and serves on Bibu’s international council ahead of the Children and Youth Biennial in 2026.
As a freelance director and choreographer, Anne’s work has been presented at, among others; Teater Tre, Backa Teater, Regionteater Väst, Unga Klara, and Zebradans. At Teater Tre, Anne has directed and choreographed Peka, Trumma, Dansa (2014), Fåglarnas skolgård (2023), and Det kommer tigrar (2025).
Lina Karlmark
Producer/ Adminstrative project manager
Lina Karlmark is a producer at Teater Tre, where she has worked since 2017 with responsibility for productions and international projects. She has produced several of the company’s performances and has been involved in organizing festivals and coordinating international collaborations. Her work also includes audience development, with a particular focus on reaching and engaging young children.
She graduated in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Roehampton in London. Since then, she has worked with children and young people in both educational and artistic contexts, focusing on creative learning and drama.
Lina is one of the co-founders of Stockholm Fringe Festival, including work with the youth initiative Young STOFF.
