The Art Fraction Foundation was established in 2010 and is one of the most dynamic, effective and rapidly growing non-governmental organisations in Poland, working in the field of art and culture for young children and on socially engaged projects. We collaborate with artists, cultural institutions and organisations from across Poland and many countries around the world, whose experience inspires and supports us in creating valuable artistic, cultural and educational projects: festivals, performances, touring and mentoring.
We are convinced that free access to the arts is every child’s right. At the Art Fraction Foundation, we believe that one of the pathways to children’s healthy development is to provide them with a safe space to experience the arts, develop their creativity and play freely. We create projects that bridge generations and bring people closer together.

Barbara Małecka
Project Manager
Theatrologist, producer of artistic events, set designer for performances for the youngest – among many others Blisko/Close (Children’s Art Centre), KUUKI (Japan), Den lille store reisen and Riverso (Norway) and We live here (Art Fraction Foundation/Animation Theatre). Coordinator of the Polish part of international projects in the frame of Creative Europe program: ‘Small Size, Performing Arts for Early Years’, ‘Mapping: the map on the aesthetics of performing arts for early years’, ‘The Right Time’. Since 2016 cooperates with the Animation Theatre in Poznań as the artistic director of the KONTEKSTY festiwal and projet manager. Member of the Management Board of ART FRACTION FOUNDATION.
Alicja Morawska-Rubczak
Artist/Director
Theatre director and theatre pedagogue who has created over twenty professional productions in Poland and internationally. She has also led lectures, workshops and masterclasses on performing arts for young audiences in Poland and abroad, including in Japan, Norway, Germany and Slovakia. Her artistic work focuses primarily on theatre and dance for children under the age of three.
In recent years, Morawska-Rubczak has become increasingly involved in European cultural cooperation. She is an active member of the Small Size Association and contributes to strengthening transnational collaboration within the Sparse Plus initiative. Her engagement reflects a strong commitment to building sustainable international networks and broadening access to high-quality early-years arts across diverse regions.
A freelancer working in Poland and abroad, she is based in a small village near Wałcz, demonstrating that meaningful international artistic activity can thrive regardless of location.
Mateusz Okonek
Accountant/Manager
A graduate of Poznań Theatre Studies and Interactive Media and Performance at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Cultural manager. Creator of theatrical performances and video projects. He has conducted numerous theatre and film workshops with children, teenagers and adults. He deals with documenting cultural events, video art, and various experimental image forms. Member of the Management Board of ART FRACTION FOUNDATION.
