Sabadell
laSala is a center for the creation of Arts for Children, focusing on the exhibition, creation, training, and research in the Arts for early childhood. We develop an annual program for families and schools, host artistic residencies, and promote research projects and community cultural participation. Since 2005, we have organized the Festival elPetit, the country’s first international festival dedicated exclusively to Arts for early childhood (0-5 years).
We firmly believe in the transformative power of the Arts. Our mission is to create high-quality artistic encounters that respect the rhythms of childhood and are based on relationships of respect, trust, and equality. We promote meaningful artistic experiences that involve artists, children, and accompanying adults (families and educational institutions), understanding culture as a fundamental right from the earliest years of life.
Within the framework of the The Right Time project, laSala contributes through a model that fosters stable relationships between art and education, generating research through ongoing collaboration with educational centers and artists committed to early childhood creation. It also participates by making the International encounter of Arts for early childhood, held within the framework of the Festival elPetit, available to support co-productions, the project’s objectives, and its dissemination.
PEOPLE
Isabel Urpí
Director
She holds a degree in Information Sciences from the University of Navarra, a Master’s in Public Administration from ESADE, and a Master’s in Art Therapy from the University of Murcia. She trained as a Gestalt therapist at the Gestalt Institute of Barcelona. Her professional career combines cultural management and leadership with specialization in artistic and therapeutic processes for socially vulnerable groups, particularly incarcerated mothers and fathers and women and families in vulnerable situations.
She is Deputy Director of laSala and Co-Director of Festival elPetit, promoting the internationalization of the project through strategic partnerships with festivals, institutions, and European and international networks. She was Head of Production at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) and coordinated large-scale cultural projects at leading institutions and events such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, La Fura dels Baus, the Universal Forum of Cultures Barcelona 2004, and Expo Hannover.
Her professional path is defined by a vision of art as a tool for health, social transformation, and relationship-building, integrating artistic, social, and community dimensions into the development of high-impact cultural projects.
David Pardo
Administration
Head of Administration. He has worked in administration, accounting, and finance in various companies across different sectors, mainly in the third sector, and has also carried out productive and profitability controlling tasks in Special Employment Centers. Alongside this, he has been involved in school and neighborhood associations, providing support actions and volunteering.
Clara Gili
Lead Artist and Facilitator
Within the The Right Time project, Clara Gili will be the lead artist, designing and facilitating the artistic research process with children through clay-based artistic practice in Time Travellers. Her contribution will support the project’s exploration of time, materiality and creating spaces where artistic experimentation becomes a catalyst for collective discovery.
Clara Gili is a ceramic artist, craftswoman and creative educator with more than twenty-five years of professional experience in artistic practice, craftsmanship and education. Her work explores the relationship between materials, time and childhood, using clay as a medium for artistic expression, sensory exploration and learning.
Alongside her long-standing practice as a ceramic artist, she has worked extensively as a creative educator, designing and facilitating workshops for children, young people and adults. Her training combines studies in ceramics, philosophy, dance, furniture restoration and Waldorf education, resulting in an interdisciplinary approach that brings together craftsmanship, movement, aesthetic sensitivity and experiential learning.
She is particularly interested in accompanying creative processes that foster autonomy, observation, curiosity and meaningful relationships between people, materials and the surrounding environment. Her practice places great importance on slowness, tactile exploration and the transformative potential of making by hand.
Eulàlia Ribera
Director
Eulàlia Ribera is a cultural manager specialized in the creation, production, and dissemination of performing arts for children and young people. She has focused her professional career on advocating for the importance of experiencing high-quality artistic work from early childhood, with the aim of nurturing critical thinking and imagination in young audiences, and defending the right of children and young people to participate in art and culture under conditions of equality and equity.
She is the director of the family arts creation center laSala, a space dedicated to creation, presentation, training, and research in performing arts for children and young people (0–14), aimed at young audiences and their families, as well as teachers and professionals in the fields of creation, education, and social action.
In 2005, she founded the international arts festival for early childhood (0–5) El Més Petit de Tots, now Festival elPetit, promoted by laSala, where she serves as co-director. It is a platform generating high-quality contemporary artistic encounters, committed to new artistic languages and emerging talent from a transversal and distinctive perspective.
She is President of ASSITEJ Spain, the professional association for performing arts for children and young people, awarded the 2025 National Performing Arts Award for Children and Young People by the Ministry of Culture, and officially recognized as a public-interest organization by the Ministry of the Interior.
Mireia Gubianas
Mediation with Educational Centers
Cultural manager and mediator, actress, and performing arts educator. She holds a degree in Catalan Philology, with additional training in cultural policies, educational pedagogy, and drama. She specializes in developing artistic and pedagogical processes with teenagers and young people, facilitating creative tools that foster cultural engagement, active participation, and critical thinking.
She coordinates and has coordinated several territorial and European projects, such as Salto del Eje (Diputació de Barcelona), Projecte Virals in Terrassa, and laSala’s European project ForesTeen, working in contexts that integrate culture, education, and community. This experience has given her a transversal understanding of the needs of educational centers and the current challenges of cultural mediation. At laSala in Sabadell, she is responsible for mediation with educational centers, maintaining continuous and direct contact with schools, secondary schools, and teaching teams. This sustained relationship provides her with a clear, updated, and strategic view of their needs and realities, directly influencing the conception, organization, and adaptation of Festival elPetit’s programming, especially in the educational field.
Judit Vidal
Production
She holds a degree in Interior Design (Eina), studied Sociology (University of Barcelona), and is currently pursuing a Degree in Art (UOC). She initially oriented her career toward technical coordination, stage management, and scenography, later training at the Entertainment Technicians Workshop and the Institut del Teatre. She has extensive experience in the performing arts as a technical coordinator, stage manager, and machinist, working with renowned companies and creators such as T de Teatre, Pep Bou, Carles Santos, Lluís Danès, Dagoll Dagom, Comediants, and Tricicle. She has also worked as a technical assistant in venues such as the National Theatre of Catalonia (TNC), Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatre Lliure, and Mercat de les Flors, and has designed and built scenography both independently and with the Castells Brothers’ workshops and Joan Salvador.
She is currently Head of Production at laSala and Production Manager of Festival elPetit, coordinating the technical and logistical aspects of a project with wide territorial reach and multiple venues. She is also responsible for mediation and coordination with penitentiary centers participating in the Festival, a key role requiring a sensitive and transversal approach, connecting artistic processes with prison teams, companies, and participating families. This work ensures the feasibility, quality, and social impact of artistic actions in contexts of deprivation of liberty, reinforcing the project’s commitment to cultural access and social transformation.
She has also developed artistic direction, coordination, and stage management for the company of Lídia Pujol, as well as technical production and stage management for events such as Festival Llum BCN and the co-direction, programming, coordination, and stage management of the street performing arts festival El Ganxo.
Aina Moles
Mediation and Communication
Trained in Spanish Dance (Professional Degree, Institut del Teatre), Journalism (UAB), and holding a Master’s in Corporate Communication and an MBA (ISEB). She has developed her career mainly in communication and event organization agencies, in both the private and cultural sectors, and has collaborated with specialized magazines and blogs. She has advanced knowledge in community management, cultural marketing, and social media management.
She is responsible for cultural and community mediation and communication at laSala and Festival elPetit. In this role, she designs and coordinates mediation strategies that connect artistic projects with diverse audiences, especially families, educational communities, and vulnerable groups, developing audience engagement, participation, and loyalty initiatives. She has completed specialized training in cultural mediation focused on early childhood and on building connections between artists, institutions, and communities, integrating communication as a key tool for participation, accessibility, and social cohesion.
Sandra Artigas
Mediation and Visual Documentation
Within the The Right Time project, Sandra Artigas is responsible for mediation and visual documentation of Time Travellers, accompanying the artistic process in schools while producing sensitive photographic and audiovisual documentation that reflects both the children’s experiences and the project’s research methodology. Her dual background in education and visual storytelling enables her to mediate and document artistic processes from a sensitive, participatory and peer-to-peer perspective.
She is an early childhood educator with a background in Waldorf pedagogy, photographer, and creative practitioner with expertise in visual communication. She holds a Degree in Early Childhood Education, graduated with honours, and a Master’s Degree in Waldorf Pedagogy. Before specialising in education, she developed a ten-year career as an Art Director and Branding Specialist, leading creative communication projects across print and digital media.
Her practice combines educational observation with artistic documentation. She has conducted artistic research in Waldorf schools, documenting children’s interactions with natural materials and artistic practices to better understand emotional, sensory and cognitive development. Alongside this work, she has collaborated as a freelance editorial photographer for several publications and has exhibited her photographic work internationally.
Sara Soler
Communication Assistant
She holds a degree in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a Master’s in Journalism and Innovation in Digital Content (UAB). She completed an Erasmus+ exchange at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal) and holds a B2 level of English.
She is part of the laSala and Festival elPetit team as a Communication Assistant, supporting communication tasks and transversal project management. She collaborates in content creation and adaptation for different channels, in promoting the program, and in providing communication support to the Festival’s various venues, working in coordination with participating teams.
Her background in journalism and digital communication, together with her experience in cultural contexts, allows her to bring a contemporary and rigorous perspective to the project’s communication, contributing to ensuring a clear, coherent, and sensitive transmission of the values of elPetit and laSala to diverse audiences.
